My Secret

I believe…

that I do not deserve to feel wholly happy and content with myself;

that I do not deserve praise or credit;

that I should suffer for past sins;

that guilt is the only acceptable recourse.

Despite this…

I believe there is hope and happiness waiting for all who open their heart to it.

Thank you Annie for bravely posting your own secret.

Life

Yesterday is history
Tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift
That is why it is called the present.

Words to remember and live by.

Last Sleep!

This is the last sleep until we get to pick up Meri!  I say sleep, but I am so excited I wonder if sleep will actually happen.  I guess that is what drugs are for.  :)

MeriSleeping (If only we could all sleep that easily)

We will be heading south pretty early (8 or 8:30 am).  We want to get her home at a decent time in the day so we have lots of time to get acquainted and settled before she has to spend her first night without her biological family.  Poor thing.  She will have a couple of blankets and a stuffed toy that will smell of her Mom and siblings so hopefully that will help.

Wish us all luck.  :)

Just…

… 2 more sleeps!!

3 More Sleeps!

Just 3 more sleeps before I bring her (Meri) home.

Maybe I should go to bed now so it’ll be just 2 more sleeps before I know it.  :)

2nd Visit

I made my 2nd visit to Coalhurst and the lovely home of Tammie and Darren.  This time my husband was able to make the trip with me.

They grow up so fast.

But some not so much as others.  :)

Meri and her BIG sister Lindy

Meri and her BIG sister Lindy

Only 2 and 1/2 weeks till she comes to her second home in Calgary.  :)

That'sMyGirl
We officially met today and I absolutely love her.
She’s a sweet soul who is pretty laid back and quiet (so far). :)
Can’t wait to bring her home.

Thanks so very much to Tammie and Darren, of Earth Angel Labradoodles, for being the warm, friendly, and welcoming people they are. I had a wonderful time.

Here she is

Meri

Her nose is starting to turn colour.  Apparently it will eventually be black.  Her coat will be a beautiful wavy fleece.  Mmmmm… fleece…  ;-)

Her name will be Meriadoc, but we will call her Meri for short.  That way we will have a Meri and a Pippin.  Maybe they will even become friends.  Mmh?  That may be wishful thinking considering Pippin is our  cat!

Eyes Wide…

open.

Now all the puppies’ eyes are open.  I hope it wasn’t too much of a shock for them.  ;-)

The 3rd puppy down, white parti girl, in these new shots will probably be ours in the end.  Her coat is showing some nice wave to it already.

I can’t wait to see them for the first time (May 31).
