This is the last sleep until we get to pick up Meri! I say sleep, but I am so excited I wonder if sleep will actually happen. I guess that is what drugs are for. :)
(If only we could all sleep that easily)
We will be heading south pretty early (8 or 8:30 am). We want to get her home at a decent time in the day so we have lots of time to get acquainted and settled before she has to spend her first night without her biological family. Poor thing. She will have a couple of blankets and a stuffed toy that will smell of her Mom and siblings so hopefully that will help.
We officially met today and I absolutely love her.
She’s a sweet soul who is pretty laid back and quiet (so far).
Can’t wait to bring her home.
Thanks so very much to Tammie and Darren, of Earth Angel Labradoodles, for being the warm, friendly, and welcoming people they are. I had a wonderful time.
Her nose is starting to turn colour. Apparently it will eventually be black. Her coat will be a beautiful wavy fleece. Mmmmm… fleece… ;-)
Her name will be Meriadoc, but we will call her Meri for short. That way we will have a Meri and a Pippin. Maybe they will even become friends. Mmh? That may be wishful thinking considering Pippin is our cat!
